Why LaTeX?

Using LaTeX has several advantages:

1. The user only has to enter content; formatting is done by compiling with a style file ("songbook" in this case)
   
2. The songs can be reformatted, changed to overheads, lyric books, etc., by setting a single parameter
3. The resulting charts are typeset more accurately and look nicer than what a conventional word processor would make
